At the age of just 14, Twin sisters Victoria and Jessica Richards first started their careers in the flower industry spending every weekend helping out and absorbing all there was to learn about the ever changing trade.
After completing their training they started to channel their creativity in new directions by participating in regional, national and international competitions. Victoria went on to win a Gold Medal in 2010 in UK Skills regional and national competitions.
Wanting to further their development Victoria and Jessica intensely trained together to international levels to pursue their floral careers working with top designers from across the globe. In 2011 Victoria competed in the highly regarded 41st WorldSkills competition in London, Winning her a Medallion for Excellence (Ranking 5th Worldwide).
The following year Victoria won her first RHS Gold Medal at the renown Chelsea Flower Show, hand crafting a floral chandelier. Both going for gold the following year, Victoria and Jessica both competed against each other to design a floral ring with huge success, both winning Gold Medals at Chelsea Flower Show.
Since training to international levels Victoria and Jessica have demonstrated and held workshops to share skills with fellow florists and flower clubs across the UK and Ireland. They also train competitors to high levels which helping them keep up to date with the very best services and techniques to share with their customers at Richards Floral Design based in Bradmore, Wolverhampton.
